Job title: Health Care Aide (HCA)
Location: Kelowna & Vernon
Term Salary/Rate: $26.93 per hour
Qualifications:
You have graduated from a recognized Health Care Aide Program and are registered with the BC Care Aide Registry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
You have the physical ability and stamina to carry out the duties of the role.
You have a genuine passion for caring for our residents.
You can pass a Criminal Record Check for working with vulnerable adults.
Job Description:
Provide personal care and attention to residents, ensuring that their activities of daily living needs are met, including meals and personal care.
Observe, report, and record physical or cognitive changes with residents to the LPN.
Provide input into the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Resident's Care Plans.
Assist with transfers of residents using the appropriate equipment such as lifts, wheelchairs, and walkers.
Encourage and assist residents to participate in social and physical, spiritual, and recreational activities.
Maintain a clean, safe, homelike environment for residents and staff.
